Math Placement Exams

The math placement exam was created to provide students with advice and placement into courses at an appropriate level.  

  • There are 2 types of exams available:
    • (EA) Elementary Math for placement into Math 0900 and Math 1010
    • (CLM) College Algebra for Math 1010 up to Calculus
  • Students will need to take the Math Placement Exam:
    • If there has been more than one year from your last passed Math class
    • If a student has less than 23 as a math ACT score (or the equivalent).
  • Cost is $10, to be paid at the Registration Desk in Roosevelt or Vernal.
  • Exams must be taken in the Testing Center—students must show receipt to Testing Center staff.
  • Exams may be taken as many times as needed
  • Exam scores are good for 1 year.
  • Anyone can take Math 0900 and will not have to take the placement exam.
